I have researched many diets. Many of them contradict each other, but I have compiled a list of the foods that over-lap from one diet to another. Ostensibly, these would be the best foods to eat. I try to adhere to them as much as my daily routine allows.

The BEST advice for getting started with a new diet is to not change EVERYTHING at once so that you are overwhelmed. This is a lifestyle change. If you’re going to do ONE thing to improve your health: Drink WATER instead of anything else. Choose water over all Coke/Pepsi products. Choose water over juice, gatorade, etc. etc. Drink WATER!!! LOTS OF IT!

When you’re hungry ask the question: What foods will nourish my body? NOT: What can I eat that will fill me up?

But, don’t forget to LIVE LIFE!! Get the chocolate cake dessert if you want it…just not at every meal. Don’t stress over your diet.

Organic blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries
Organic Green Apples, Lemon, Lime
Non-Organic Above Ground Veggies (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Asparagus, Mushrooms, Bell Pepper, Cucumbers, Celery)
Non-Organic Avocadoes
Leafy Green Vegetables (Organic Spinach, Kale)
Sweet Potatoes
Almond Milk
Wild Caught: Salmon, Trout, Mackeral, Herring, Sardines, Anchovies
Cage Free Eggs
Free Range Chicken and Turkey
Grass Fed Beef
Garlic
Olive Oil
Flaxseed

DO NOT EAT
Dairy
Flour/Gluten
Sugar
Soy
Added Sodium
Grains – wheat, corn, rice, cereal, etc.
Sugar – honey, agave, maple syrup, etc.
Fruit – apples, bananas, oranges, etc.
Tubers – white potatoes, yams, etc.
Peanuts
Coffee, Alcohol, Nicotine
Pork
Farm Raised Fish
